MAHA MIKHAIL

4 YEAR OLD TEACHER/DIRECTOR

My name is Maha Mikhail. I migrated to Australia in 2006 from Egypt with my family , my husband and my(2 children. I attained my Postgraduate Diploma in Early Childhood Teaching from Victoria University in 2012 and have been working in early childhood services for almost 12 years, taking on many roles, the latest of which has been kindergarten teaching since January 2013.

I joined Glenroy Memorial Preschool on 15th May 2018 as a Kinder Teacher, Nominated Supervisor, Educational Leader and a Director.

I am very passionate about teaching children through developing strong and trusting relationships to help them gain skills they can carry with them through their lives.
I believe in open, honest communication and partnerships with educators, families, management and community to be able to achieve the best outcomes for all involved.

 

JANINE MARIPA

3 YEAR OLD TEACHER

My name is Janine Maripa and I have been the three year old kindergarten teacher at Glenroy Memorial for the last eleven years and love working here. I work alongside Maha, Vivian, Pri and Angela to provide a safe and happy environment for your children.

I believe that children learn and develop through play experiences and social interaction between adults and their peers. I promote that learning should be fun and reflective of the children’s interests and individual needs.

 

 

ANGELA BOLDING

EDUCATOR/ADMIN

My name is Angela Bolding, I am currently working with the 3 and 4 year old groups. I am also the Administration Officer working closely with the Committee of Management. I have been involved with Glenroy Memorial Pre School since 1997, when 1st of my 3 children attended the kinder. I have a real passion for this kinder as I have been a parent here watching my 3 children enjoy their time at Glenroy Memorial Pre School and now as an educator.

In 2005 I worked with the 3 year group and progressed to the 4 year old group. I completed my Diploma in Early Childhood in 2011.

I enjoy nurturing and caring for the children and look forward to seeing them develop and grow throughout the year.

 

VIVIAN AQUILINA

EDUCATOR/ADMIN

My name is Vivian Aquilina. I have three children. I have worked at Glenroy Memorial Preschool for 23 years. I have a Certificate III in Children’s Services and I am continually updating my professional skills and knowledge through professional development.

My interests include craft, music and movement and I enjoy incorporating these into the program.

I believe the skills children learn at kindergarten are skills for life. Social and emotional skills are a critical part of a person’s wellbeing. We at Glenroy Memorial Preschool believe these skills need to be nurtured from a very early age; and are achieved by positive interactions and role modelling by peers and adults.

 

PRI DEVAPURA

EDUCATOR

Hello, my name is Pri Devapura I am delighted to work as an educator at Glenroy Memorial Preschool. I have been involved with GMPS for more than 7years, I began my work with children as a volunteer in my child's preschool and primary school. Then, I gained experience as a Kindergarten Inclusion support staff while working for many kindergartens including GMPS through Uniting. After completing my Diploma I had the great opportunity to become a part of the very passionate Glenroy Memorial Preschool team.

I enjoy working in a diverse community rich in cultures where we learn and up skill our knowledge on a daily basis. I always look forward to continuous improvement by communicating with children and their families and sharing ideas with my colleagues and attending Professional Development sessions

My vision is to encourage children to embrace diversity with confidence and to create an opportunity to reach their full potential in early years of their life experiences.
